Bestmed BMC Extreme Challenge Day 1 & 2:

 
Includes Day 1 & 2 Extreme Challenge Package: Black Mountain Challenge 33 km & Big Sky Lite Trail run 12km with combined 45 km distance, there’s only prize money for the overall winner of Extreme Challenge with best combined times of two stages, the category and race day winners do not receive prizes & will have to participate in Extreme Challenge to stand a chance to win the grand prize. The Extreme Challenge gets both BMC & Big Sky Lite Trail Run Race Shirts as well as medals for each race day event.

Level of Fitness: Average Runners to intermediate hikers

Estimated Duration:
Advanced Runners 4h00 (Ave/Pace: 8.38 km/h) – 5h00 (Ave/Pace: 6.7 km/h)

Intermediates Runners 5h00 – 05h30 (Ave/Pace: 6.1 km/h)

Average Runners 5h30 – 6h00 (Ave/Pace: 5.6 km/h)

Beginners 06h00 – 07h00 (Ave/Pace: 4.8 km/h)

Hikers/Walking 7h00 – 8h00 (Ave/Pace: 4.2 km/h)

To finish by 4 pm you will move at 3.7 km/h average speed in 9 hours.

The achievements would be to finish Sub 4 hours for advanced athletes or Sub 5 hours for good intermediate runners

You will be allowed to come pre-enter on Sunday for 10km BigSky Trail Run at Bestmed Black Mountain Challenge, no compulsory gear required, its easy flat trail run, entry R250 which includes two water points, medal, and delicious big Black Mountain Burger and chips at Hotel Pool Bar for each finisher. 1km Kiddierun starts 7:45am, 10km race starts 8am on Sunday 24 March 2019.

You welcome to drive to hotel on Saturday to come support the BMC runners, the BMC34km starts 7am, entries for BMC34km is closed. you can also enter online for BigSky for Sunday www.BlackMountainChallenge.co.za, bring family for nice outing.
