You can add to your NOTES that you would like to pay your entry off over a few months that suits you, with first payment of R200 must be made within 24 hour to secure your entry.

2020 Bestmed Black Mountain Challenge Extreme Challenge Day 1 and BigSky Trail Run Day 2:

Includes Day 1 & 2 Extreme Challenge Package: Black Mountain Challenge 34 km & Big Sky Lite Trail run 10 km with combined 44 km distance, only the first male and female with best overall combined times win the prize money and free entry for next year to defend their title. The category and race day winners do not receive prizes & will have to participate in Extreme Challenge to stand a chance to win the 2 grand prizes. The Extreme Challenge participants gets BMC Race Shirts for Day 1 the BMC 34km race as well as a medal, also a medal for completing BigSky Trail Run on Day 2.

Distance: 34 km (Terrain Technical & Altitude)

Altitude Gain: D+ 1200m

Time Start: 07:30 am Friday (Workers Day) 1 May 2020


BMC Route:

Level of Fitness: Average Runners to intermediate hikers.

3 Fully Stocked Beverage & Food Check Points:
CP1 De Foot – 12km Refreshments & Lite snacks)

CP2 God’s Eye – 16km Only check point
CP3 De Poort – 21km Fully stocked Oasis Pit-stop water point with everything from Food, Coffee, Refreshments, refill your hydration, snacks, energy bars, chocolates, fruit, jelly babies, etc)

CP4 The Posts – 26km Fully stocked Oasis Pit-stop water point with everything from Food, Coffee, Refreshments, refill your hydration, snacks, energy bars, chocolates, fruit, jelly babies, etc & ER24 with Ambulance waiting to assist you)

WP1 Big Sky Photo – 32km Have your photo taken at the giant photo frame with Black Mountain behind you.

Finish Hotel – 34km take a break, swim, eat your Black Mountain burger, order a drink at pool bar, enjoy the music and chill or book yourself into the spa.

Each BMC 34km runner gets custom made top quality BMC Race shirt or vest with your names on it with colour of your choice, the shirt cut can be ordered as Male or Female cut as each participant race shirt is custom made to your specifications.

Distance: 10 km (Terrain easy flat Jeep Track)

Beautiful 70mm x 3mm thick Big Sky Trail Run Medal

No Race Shirts included for Big Sky Entry, but BMC shirts can be purchased separately for participants, friends and family members.

To make booking at hotel visit (the online bookings of hotel accommodation have been blocked so you will have to call hotel directly to make reservations as hotel is reserved for BMC participants, there are 250 rooms available)

You will be allowed to come pre-enter on Sunday for 10km BigSky Trail Run at Bestmed Black Mountain Challenge, no compulsory gear required, its easy flat trail run, entry R250 which includes two water points, medal, and delicious big Black Mountain Burger and chips at Hotel Pool Bar for each finisher. 1km Kiddierun starts 7:45am, 10km race starts 8am on Sunday 24 March 2019.

You welcome to drive to hotel on Saturday to come support the BMC runners, the BMC34km starts 7am, entries for BMC34km is closed. you can also enter online for BigSky for Sunday, bring family for nice outing.
